Vince Gibson enters his fifth season with the Golden Eagles and becomes the longest tenured head coach of LCCC men’s soccer. Last season he led the team to a 14-3-1 record and LCCC’s first ever NJCAA national ranking, hitting as high as 15th in the nation.
The Golden Eagles broke many barriers in 2011, one of which was beating the No. 1 team in the nation and going undefeated at home. Gibson’s 2011 squad set a record for the least amount goals scored against them for the season at 18.
His overall record at LCCC is 47-22-5. In his first two seasons with the team, his teams won back-to-back Region IX Tournament championships and extended the college’s dominance over that tournament to five straight. He also was named 2008, 2009 and 2011 NJCAA Region IX Coach of the Year.
Gibson joined Laramie County Community College in 2008 after coaching both men’s and women’s soccer at Dodge City Community College in Kansas. He was named the 2007 NJCAA Region VI Soccer Coach of the Year. |

Brian Longbottom is starting his fourth year with the Golden Eagles men’s soccer team. His primary responsibility is coordinating the team’s offense. Longbottom is a Cheyenne native and played at East High School. In college, he earned All-Conference soccer awards at Hastings College in 1996-1997. He also is the assistant director of coaching for the Cheyenne Sting soccer club. |

Jose Arenas is starting his second year with the Golden Eagles men’s soccer team. Jose was a graduate assistant at McPherson College in 2010. His primary responsibility is field preparation, game-day management, recruiting and coaching the defense. Arenas is a Cheyenne native and played at East High School. In college, he played at McPherson College in 2008-2009 and at LCCC in 2006-2007. He also coaches youth teams for Cheyenne Sting. |

Andrew Burris coached the Golden Eagles in 2008 and rejoins the LCCC coaching staff for the 2012 season. Andrew played for LCCC in 2007. Andrew coaches the goalkeepers for the men’s and women’s teams. Coach Burris also helps out with recruiting and game-day management. |

| Ryan Cameron is entering his second season with the Golden Eagles. Cameron is a Cheyenne native. He coaches at East High School and for youth teams with the Cheyenne Sting. Outside of coaching, he is a physical education instructor in Cheyenne. |
