Professional Experience:Brenda Abbott came to Laramie County Community College in 1999 as an adjunct instructor and tech prep coordinator. Today, she manages the LCCC high school programs, which serve more than 1,200 high school students each year through dual credit/concurrent enrollment opportunities, career pathways, a college-prep program called “Pathways to Success,” and GEAR UP.
During 30-plus years in education, Brenda has taught high school and college courses in English, technical writing, interpersonal and speech communication and has held administrative positions at both the secondary and post-secondary levels.
She understands the challenges facing students transitioning from high school to college and has devoted her energy and expertise toward helping all students see college as a part of their educational futures.
