Degree Information:

Associate of Arts in Mass Media, Laramie County Community College; Bachelor of Science in Journalism, University of Wyoming; pursuing master’s degree in Web design/new media from the Academy of Art University.

Areas of Instruction:

“Digital Photography,” “Computer Graphics,” “Introduction to Multimedia,” “Multimedia Productions I, II, III and IV,” “Digital Camera Basics I and II” and “Interactive Media.”

Professional Experience:

Before becoming a full-time instructor at LCCC, O’Brien was the senior graphic artist for the Wyoming Department of Transportation. He was also a copy editor, graphics editor and assistant night editor for the Wyoming Tribune-Eagle previous to his time with WYDOT. O’Brien is a product of LCCC’s mass media program, from which he graduated in 1998. He earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Wyoming in 2000. Currently, he is working on a master’s degree in Web design/new media from the Academy of Art University.

Professional Activities:

J is a multimedia instructor and adviser for Laramie County Community College’s Wingspan Online.
