Find out what you need
The
Health Education Office is a member of the American College Health Association. It provides personal health counseling, resource materials, referrals to local health providers, and assistance in seeking financial resources for health-related issues. It also initiates activities and awareness for all aspects of health and wellness such as drugs and alcohol, AIDS and sexual assault.
Run, jump, swim, climb
Get healthy and get credit for it by taking a class that’ll get you active. Check out swing dancing, snowshoeing, Pilates or spinning. If you want to march to the beat of your own drum just visit the
Physical Education Building and create your own workout regime with the climbing wall, two-lane track, racquetball courts, weight room and strength center, swimming pool, aerobic center and basketball gym. The facility also accommodates tennis, volleyball, indoor soccer, archery and other sports.
Clear your mind
If something is troubling you and you need some help to shake it, try our advising and psychological counseling services. Services are free to currently enrolled students and include individual, couples, group and career counseling. Knock your worries away and feel better.
Birds and the bees
The Health Education Office plans plenty of activities for Healthy Relationships Week each semester. The office partners with local groups such as the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners and victims services, which provide awareness and counseling for unhealthy relationships as well as highlight what makes a positive, healthy relationship. Eat right
Hungry? A well balanced diet is important in feeling your best. The dining room and Emporium have lots of yummy snacks and meals that are good for you. Try the yogurt and granola cups, fresh veggies, or a garden or chef’s salad. Or have the cooks make you a fresh, grilled deli sandwich. Be sure to get whole wheat and hold the mayo.
