Featuring the LCCC Wind Ensembles
Throughout history, composers have been inspired by myths and legends and have used their music to retell these stories. Whether it is Virgil’s ancient Roman Poetry, a masterwork by William Shakespeare, or the works of a master storyteller like Tolkien, composers have used manuscript paper as canvas and notes as colors to paint their impressions of literature. This concert’s pieces share a similar creative spark: all are based on literature inspired by legends, myths or stories.
