Golden Eagles improve to 3-1 for the season.
The LCCC women's soccer team traveled to Texas with a 1-1-0 record and continued their tough schedule on the road. Their first foe in Tyler, Texas, was No. 4 Tyler Junior College. It was a tough opening matchup, and it would test the Golden Eagles from the get-go.

Tyler got on the board first as Renata Inriss scored in the 27th minute. Sayit Mejia-Bello (Bogota, Colombia) knotted the Golden Eagles up as she was able to convert on a penalty kick in the 36th minute.

Early in the second half, the Golden Eagles continued to apply the pressure. Sophomore Taylor Hockley (Casper, Wyo.) gave them the lead in the 47th minute on an assist from freshman Sierra Kuno (Cheyenne, Wyo.). Hockley tallied her second of the game in the 51st minute on a diagonal ball sent from Morgan Wyant (Green River, Wyo.). Lacee Blakeley cut the lead down in the 80th minute for Tyler, but in the end it was not enough as the Golden Eagles would knock off the No. 4 team in the country 3-2.

With the win, the Golden Eagles improved to 2-1-0 on the season.
