Input sought for next phases of dining hall renovation

The campus is asked to help guide the look and feel of the cafeteria
The work on the dining hall renovation has started, but there’s plenty more to do before the facility opens its doors in August 2010.

The early phases of construction will focus on demolition of the current cafeteria. When that’s completed, the college will need to know how the students, faculty and staff would like the interior color schemes of the new facility to look. Jerry Harris has asked for input from anyone associated with the college to ensure the dining hall has the look and feel wanted by the college community.

Some things, like the exterior design and the floor plan, can’t be changed. But the colors used in the decor, the future meal plans that will be offered, and other aesthetic elements are still dependent on faculty, staff and student input.

Meetings will be scheduled starting in January to work out these details. Please plan to be involved in the discussions. If you’d like to offer your suggestions or have questions at any time, visit Jerry in his office (AM 108), call him (778-1280) or send him an e-mail (

Check this website frequently to learn about new developments as construction continues. We’ll post links to information about tours of the construction area, meetings for input on interior design and meal plans and just about anything else related to the facility.
