The new preschool program is open to children ages 12 months to 6 years.
The Children’s Discovery Center at Laramie County Community College is opening a new part-time preschool program. The part-time options will offer the same educational experience as the center’s full-time program. The new program is open to children ages 12 months to 6 years.

The center uses a curriculum based on 50 years of research, and it is implemented by degreed and qualified teachers. The recent accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children highlights the center’s exemplary program as one of the best preschool programs in the United States. As a part of the accreditation, the center is required to hold higher standards than the traditional licensed child care center or preschool, and the center’s lead teachers hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in education.
All classrooms provide daily learning activities and experiences through well thought-out lesson plans. The program is designed to educate young children and prepare them for their future educational endeavors. These experiences are open to all the families in Laramie County.
Parent tours are offered as a chance to get to know the center and staff. To schedule a visit, e-mail center director Carrie Westling or call 307.778.1303.
