If you beat No. 1, you get noticed.

After defeating top-ranked Barton Community College on Sunday, the Golden Eagles men’s soccer team makes its first-ever appearance on the NJCAA Top 20 National Poll. The team lands in the sweet 16 spot as Barton falls to No. 6. The polls were announced this morning.

The Golden Eagles are currently 7-1-1 overall and 3-1 in Region IX, which puts them a half game back of the leaders in the region standings.

The team is on the road today to play region opponent Western Nebraska Community College at 1:30 p.m.
