The Laramie County Community College men’s rodeo team took seventh place with 110 points in the Colorado State University Rodeo in Fort Collins, Colo., March 29-31. The women’s team finished in eighth place with 90 points.
Ashley Kroul tied for fourth out of 45 entries in goat tying with a time of 14.5 on two runs and earned 65 points. Kroul also placed 10th out of 88 entries in the breakaway roping. Hailey Bonham placed third out of 68 teams in team roping, earning 90 points. Pete Walnofer placed fourth in both rounds and fourth in the average out of 46 entries in steer wrestling, earning 90 points. Dillon Simonson finished seventh out of 58 entries in tie-down roping, earning 20 points.
- Hayli Bonham placed third in team roping header with a combined time of 7.7.
- Ashley Kroul placed fourth in goat tying with a combined time of 14.5.
- Peter Walnofer placed fourth in steer wrestling with a combined time of 16.2.
- Dillon Simonson placed eighth in tie down roping with a combined time of 26.1.
The overall region standings have the women’s team in ninth place with 405 points and the men’s team sitting in 11th place with 500 points.
The LCCC rodeo team will travel to Torrington, Wyo., April 5-7 for the Eastern Wyoming College Rodeo. Rodeo results can be found at www.collegerodeo.com.
