Rodeo teams have tough ride in Sheridan

Women finish 8th, men 10th.


The Laramie County Community College women’s rodeo team took eighth place with 50 points in the Sheridan College Rodeo in Sheridan, Wyo., Sept. 28-30. The men’s team finished in 10th place with 45 points.

Top Performers:
· Ashley Kroul placed third in breakaway roping with a combined time of 3.4.
· Brandy Brown placed fifth in barrel racing with a combined time of 36.86.
· Brandon Moen placed seventh in bull riding with 63 points.
· Shana Lyons tied for eighth place in goat tying with a combined time of 25.5.
· Dillon Simonson placed ninth in steer wrestling with a combined time of 16.3.

Both teams fell a spot in the region standings. The overall region standings have the women’s team in seventh place with 270 points and the men’s team in ninth place with 265 points.

The LCCC rodeo team will travel to Lamar, Colo., Oct. 5-7 for the Lamar Community College Rodeo. Rodeo results can be found at collegerodeo.com.
