Active Minds Club hosts Mud Run 2013

The cost to participate is $15 for individuals, or $50 for a team of five.

It’s time to get dirty for a great cause.

A Mud Run and 5K will take place at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 27. The event is sponsored by Laramie County Community College’s Active Minds organization and helps promote mental health awareness and suicide prevention.

The cost to participate is $15 for individuals, or $50 for a team of five. The first 25 people to register receive a free T-shirt.

This fundraising mud run and 5K race take place at LCCC between the soccer fields and the Physical Education Building. Following the run, B.J. Ayres of Grace 4 Two Brothers, Roger Ludwig and Rachel Farnsworth will speak. At 10 a.m., participants are welcome to join a balloon release in celebration of life.

Active Minds is the nation’s only nonprofit organization dedicated to utilizing the student voice to raise mental health awareness among college students
