The Laramie County Community College basketball team's star center, the 6-foot, nine-inch Ude Ifeanyichukwu, has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for the University of Southern Mississippi.

 

Ifeanyichukwu will finish the 2012-2013 at LCCC, and then the Abuja, Nigeria, native will take the next step in his education and athletic career.

 

Though Ifeanyichukwu will have to adjust to a new system, new coaches and a new home when he gets to Southern Mississippi, he won't have to worry about a new mascot. The Southern Miss athletic teams, like LCCC's, are referred to as the Golden Eagles.
