Wednesday, September 18, 2013
Chance Englebert and Jorry Lammers place in their events.

The Laramie County Community College men’s rodeo team took 10th place with 45 points in the Central Wyoming College Rodeo in Riverton, Wyo., Sept. 13-15. Jorry Lammers from the women’s team placed fifth in barrel racing for the women’s team as their only contestant this weekend.

Top Performers:
· Jorry Lammers placed fifth in barrel racing with a combined time of 36.64.
· Chance Englebert tied for sixth in bareback riding with a combined score of 132.0.
“Our team showed some good individual performances after starting out slow on the long go rounds,” head coach David Browder said.

With a very young group Browder thinks that nerves had something to do with the slow start and expects a much stronger performance in Chadron. Browder also added that the weather didn’t cooperate, and the rain made it a very muddy event.
The LCCC rodeo team will travel to Chadron, Neb., Sept. 20-22 for the Chadron State College Rodeo. Rodeo results can be found at www.collegerodeo.com.
