The Laramie County Community College men’s rodeo team
took 10th place with 45 points in the Central Wyoming College Rodeo in Riverton, Wyo., Sept. 13-15. Jorry Lammers from the women’s team placed fifth in barrel racing for the women’s team as their only contestant this weekend.
· Jorry Lammers placed fifth in barrel racing with a combined time of 36.64.
· Chance Englebert tied for sixth in bareback riding with a combined score of 132.0.
“Our team showed some good individual performances after starting out slow on the long go rounds,” head coach David Browder said.
With a very young group Browder thinks that nerves had something to do with the slow start and expects a much stronger performance in Chadron. Browder also added that the weather didn’t cooperate, and the rain made it a very muddy event.
The LCCC rodeo team will travel to Chadron, Neb., Sept. 20-22 for the Chadron State College Rodeo. Rodeo results can be found at www.collegerodeo.com
