Malm comes to LCCC following his role as dean of continuing education for Colorado State University-Pueblo. He previously held administrative positions with both The Community College of Baltimore County and Penn State University-Harrisburg. He holds a Doctor of Management from the University of Maryland University College.
“James has an exceptional background in innovation, new program and service start up, and an entrepreneurial spirit that will serve ACC and the entire LCCC campus,” LCCC President Dr. Joe Schaffer said.
Malm begins his duties in June, when he arrives in Laramie with his wife Keli.
A lover of travel and climbing, he has actually summited nearly three dozen mountain peaks of 14,000+ feet. The father of three also involves himself heavily in his communities, volunteering with a variety of boards and organizations.
“I’m delighted to join the LCCC family at the Albany County Campus,” Malm shared. “Our highest standards of learning excellence will continue to surround the vibrant heart of our campus classrooms, labs, workshops and studios as we work to collaboratively transform these students and the greater Laramie community for generations to come.”
