LCCC women finish 9th at Gillette rodeo

Tawny Barry took seventh in breakaway at the first rodeo of the spring semester.
The Laramie County Community College rodeo team competed in the Gillette Rodeo March 14-16 in Gillette, Wyo. This was the first rodeo of the spring season for the Central Rocky Mountain Region.

The women had a total of 30 points for the weekend and finished ninth in the standings, while the men put together 70 points for a 12th place finish. Chance Englebert led the way for the Golden Eagles as he finished fourth in the standings in the bareback riding. For the women, Tawny Barry finished seventh in the breakaway roping.

Top Performers:
Chance Englebert finished fourth in the bareback riding with a combined score of 139.
Tawny Barry finished seventh in the breakaway roping with a long go time of 3.1.
Blayne Bradley and Dillon Simonson finished tenth in the team roping with a long go time of 9.1.
