LCCC earns two top awards at national competition

The new athletics logo and the college's Viewbook earned the highest honors from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations.
 
The newly revamped Laramie County Community College athletics logo wrapped its talons around a huge award at the 2011 National Council for Marketing and Public Relations competition, and the college’s Viewbook took similar honors.

The logo and the Viewbook both gathered first-place Gold Paragon Awards. Paragons are the highest honors awarded by the NCMPR, a national association of community college and university public relations professionals.

The new logo is the result of the hard work of Scott Souder in the LCCC Public Relations office and input from the LCCC PR design team. For more information about the new logo, watch a video put together by PR videographer Josh Thein here.

This year’s Viewbook owes its success to the LCCC PR design team, Brad Barker in the Admissions department, who coordinated the project, and the students of LCCC, who submitted hundreds of photos for inclusion in the recruiting piece. “We wouldn’t have had such a beautiful Viewbook without the photos our students sent in,” Public Relations Director Lisa Murphy said. “Brad did a great job of telling us what he wanted, and the designers in PR took his ideas and turned them into a great piece.”
