Wednesday, June 22, 2011
Get the best seat in the house for a sneak peek at the summer's highest-flying action.
Get a free T-shirt, be treated to a barbecue, and get a great seat for the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds Air Show at Laramie County Community College – twice. All this – and the satisfaction of knowing you helped thousands of people enjoy a great show – can be yours if you volunteer to help during the Thunderbirds air show and practice in July.

Volunteers must be at least 16 years old and be available during two days. The practice day starts Monday, July 25, at 11:30 a.m. with a free barbecue for volunteers and their families. After a briefing at 12:30 p.m., the volunteers can watch the Thunderbirds’ practice flight. The practice flight starts at 2:30 p.m.

Volunteers must arrive at 6:45 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27, for the official show.

A volunteer’s main duties include giving directions and answering questions for spectators at the college.

All volunteers will receive a Thunderbirds T-shirt.

This year marks the 13th year the college will host the event.

Those interested should call 307.778.1322.
