The ninth-ranked Laramie County Community College
volleyball team lost in four games to the 10th-ranked Western Wyoming Community College Mustangs on Saturday in Rock Springs, Wyo. LCCC started strong winning the first game, but then lost the next three. This is the first loss for the Golden Eagles this season.
Sept. 11
Match: LCCC vs. Western Wyoming Community College. LCCC won 25-13, then lost 21-25, 20-25, 19-25.
Abby Nicholas had seven kills, and Shelby Johnson had 21 assists.
On Sept. 13, the Golden Eagles (9-1 overall, 1-1 Region IX) will travel to North Platte, Neb., to play North Platte Community College. The next home game will be on Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. against Northwest College. All Golden Eagle athletic events are free.
