Equestrian team places 10 athletes in hunt show

LCCC equestrian team takes second in first show of the season.
The Laramie County Community College equestrian team rode in their first competition of the season placing second in the first show and fifth in the second show Oct. 6-7 at the University of Colorado in Fort Lupton, Colo.

Individual Results:
  • Jessie Johnson placed first and second in Beginner equitation
  • Kailey Kaufmann placed second and third in Beginner equitation
  • Amanda Heller placed second and third in Beginning walk, trot, canter equitation
  • Emily Hamilton placed fourth in Intermediate Fences and fourth and seventh in Intermediate equitation
  • Sarah Stull placed fourth and seventh in Beginning walk, trot, canter equitation
  • Morgan Carmichael placed fifth in Intermediate Fences and Intermediate equitation
  • Emily Smith placed fifth in Beginner equitation
  • Nicole Blankenship placed seventh in Novice Fences and fourth and seventh in Novice equitation
  • Candice Lahners placed seventh in Advanced walk, trot, canter equitation
  • Natalie Fry placed seventh in Advanced walk, trot, canter equitation
The Equestrian team’s next event will be Oct. 13-14 at Colby Community College in Colby, Kan. Schedules can be found at lccc.wy.edu/athletics.
