The Laramie County Community College
rodeo team finished its season in Laramie this past weekend. Loncey Johnson earned the 2011 Central Rocky Mountain Region Champion Bull Rider title and qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo in bull riding. Canler Sterkel and Dillon Evenson held on to their third place regional ranking in team roping and will join Johnson at the CNFR in Casper, Wyo., June 12-18.
The women’s team finished in eighth place with 70 team points.
· Tori Bonham placed sixth in breakaway roping.
· Raelynn Keller placed seventh in breakaway roping.
· Katelyn Ellis placed in ninth place in goat tying.
The men’s team finished in 10th place with 120 team points.
· Loncey Johnson took first place in bull riding with 84 points. Johnson has 860 total points and has qualified for the National Finals Rodeo. Johnson is sitting in first place in the region’s bull riding standings and second place in the national standings.
