Construction work for the third floor of the Health Science Building began on March 12 and is projected to be complete on Aug. 1.
A good portion of the early work will be on the second floor as the contractors, Reiman Corp, do “rough in” work for the third floor. The contractor will install temporary barriers and incorporate dust control measures to protect the spaces and equipment on the second floor. All classroom and lab spaces will be ready for classes when they resume on March 19.
The contractor has blocked off a portion of the parking area north of Health Science for a staging area. Contractor personnel are using the northwest door of the Health Science Building for access, so people are encouraged to avoid that entrance.
