LCCC nursing program passes accreditation

Thursday, May 03, 2012
The program passed with full compliance, which is a feat only 49 percent of associate degree programs achieved in 2010.
The Laramie County Community College nursing program has once again impressed the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).

LCCC’s Nursing Program Director Jennifer Anderson says the program was found to be in full compliance with the NLNAC standards. “This is an honor and shows the dedication of the LCCC nursing faculty, as only 49 percent of associate degree nursing programs seeking reaccreditation in 2010 were awarded full compliance continuing accreditation status,” she says.

The commission met March 1 and 2, and it granted the associate nursing program continuing accreditation. It also scheduled the next evaluation visit for fall 2019.

“Congratulations on this outstanding achievement,” says Sharon Tanner, the chief executive officer of the commission in the official notification of accreditation. “We look forward to continued success for your nursing program.”
