Golden Eagles bounce Northwest College
Terrance Dent scored 12 second-half points to lead LCCC back from a 41-39 deficit to defeat Northwest College 74-70 on Saturday. After going 0-4 from the 3-point line in the first half, Dent nailed 4 of 8 from deep in the second half. However, it was the Golden Eagle defense that proved to be the difference in the game. After allowing 41 first half points, LCCC tightened its defense and allowed only 29 points in the second half.

LCCC beats No. 13 Sheridan College
The Golden Eagles upset the Sheridan College Generals 87-77 Friday at LCCC. Sheridan College jumped out to a 10-2 lead in the first half. However, the Golden Eagles rallied to take the lead and never trailed again in the game. The Golden Eagles led 41-36 at halftime. LCCC scored the first three points of the second half but were unable to pull away. Midway through the second half, Sheridan made a run to cut the lead to two at 58-56. The Eagles responded down the stretch and pulled away late for the 87-77 victory.
