The Laramie County Community College
women’s soccer team defeated Anne Arundel Community College 3-2 in the second round of the National Junior College Athletic Association Tournament in Topeka, Kan., Friday.
The Golden Eagles were losing at the end of the first half, 1-0. However, LCCC was able to get it going in the second half. Emi Yamamoto scored LCCC’s first goal of the game, and Monica Lubin added two goals of her own for the win.
The Golden Eagles will play in their final game of the national tournament 9 a.m. MST on Sunday. They will face the winner between Monroe College and Iowa Western Community College for a fifth-place finish.
