Women’s soccer team shuts down Western Wyoming

Four different Golden Eagles score.

The No.2 nationally ranked LCCC women’s soccer team rolled over Western Wyoming Community College 5-0 on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at LCCC.

Taylor Hockley started the scoring for the Golden Eagles in the 5th minute off an assist from Sayit Mejia-Bello. LCCC put two more in before halftime with goals from Sierra Kuno in the 26th minute and Halee Moore in the 33rd minute. The final two goals came in the second half from Francesca Ali in the 47th minute and 73rd minute.

Jesse Bradley had four saves and was credited with the shutout for the Golden Eagles. Mejia-Bello set up her teammates all game with four assists.

With the win, the Golden Eagles improve to 7-1 on the year and 2-0 in region play.

The Golden Eagles hit the road to play Western Nebraska Community College at 4 p.m. Sept. 21 in Scottsbluff, Neb.
