Equine show team finishes fall season

The team is currently sitting fifth in the region.

The Laramie County Community College equine show team recently wrapped up its fall shows. The team is currently sitting fifth in the region and will return to competition in February.

UW Hunt Seat Show
The hunt seat team competed strong in the University of Wyoming Horse Show on Nov. 11 in Laramie, Wyo. Individual results are as follows:
• Jessie Johnson placed second in beginner equitation
• Emily Hamilton placed third in intermediate equitation
• Nicole Blankenship third in novice jumping and fourth in novice equitation
• Morgan Carmichael placed fourth in intermediate jumping and fifth in intermediate equitation
• Abby Carpenter placed fifth in advanced walk, trot, canter equitation
• Natalie Fry placed sixth in advanced walk, trot, canter equitation
• Sarah Stull placed sixth in beginner walk, trot, canter equitation
• Emily Smith placed sixth in beginner equitation
• Kailey Kaufmann placed sixth in beginner equitation

LCCC Horse Show
The LCCC Golden Eagles hosted a horse show on Nov. 10 at the LCCC Arena. LCCC placed second as a team, and was sitting third in the region as a western team. Individual results:
• Kayla Fisk placed sixth in open reining and first in open horsemanship
• Candice Lahners placed first in intermediate II horsemanship
• Kelsey LoSasso placed first in intermediate I horsemanship
• Kelsey Jenkins placed second in novice horsemanship
• Jessie Johnson placed second in intermediate I horsemanship
• Sarah Stull placed second in intermediate I horsemanship
• Ashley Hunter placed second in beginner horsemanship
• Emily Smith placed second in beginner horsemanship
• Amanda Heller placed third in intermediate II horsemanship
• Ann Pusheck placed fifth in novice horsemanship
• Morgan Knoll placed fifth in intermediate II horsemanship
• Kailey Kaufmann placed sixth in beginner horsemanship
• Kaitlyn Hurdle placed seventh in advanced horsemanship
• Brittany DeMartin placed seventh in novice horsemanship

University of Nebraska Western Show
The LCCC western team traveled to the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Neb. The team competed in three horse shows on Nov. 3. Results are as follows:
