Equestrian team attends CU's horse show

LCCC is sitting sixth out of eight teams in the region.

The Laramie County Community College equestrian hunt seat team attended the Intercollegiate Horse Show Associations horse show hosted by the University of Colorado. The show was held in Fort Lupton, Colo., on Nov. 2 and 3. This concludes the competitions for the hunt seat team until the spring semester. Currently LCCC is sitting sixth out of eight teams in the region.

  • Individual placings include:
  • Morgan Carmichael placed first & fifth in Intermediate fences
  • Morgan Carmichael placed fourth both shows in open equitation
  • Nicole Blankenship placed seventh in novice fences
  • Nicole Blankenship placed second & third in novice equitation
  • Tess Braslau placed seventh in novice fences
  • Tess Braslau placed sixth in novice equitation
  • William Lyons placed fifth in advanced walk, trot, canter equitation
  • Amanda Heller placed third & fifth in advanced walk, trot, canter equitation
  • Jessie Johnson placed second both shows in beginner walk, trot, canter equitation
  • Mandy Harris placed second & seventh in beginner walk, trot, canter equitation
  • Alyssa Redding placed fifth & sixth in beginner walk, trot, canter equitation
  • Rachel Balcom placed fourth both shows in beginner equitation
  • Anna Hedrick placed third in beginner equitation
