The Golden Eagles men’s basketball team
won 65-62 over the visiting Eastern Wyoming College Lancer on Dec. 6.
The first half was a low-scoring effort from both teams with the Lancers leading 23-28 at halftime. The Golden Eagles turned up the heat in the second half and came from behind to tie the game. The Eagles had a chance to lock in the win during regulation, but the Lancers’ defense denied that chance. In overtime, the Golden Eagles outscored the Lancers 11-8 to seal the victory and break their three-game losing streak. LCCC’s Philip Freeman led all scorers with 18 points. LCCC is now 1-0 in the south sub region.
