Men’s rodeo team wins Casper rodeo

Cole Thoreson placed first in saddle bronc riding.

The Laramie County Community College men’s rodeo team finished in first place with 515 points in the Casper College Rodeo in Casper, Wyo., April 20-22.  The women’s team did not place.

Top Performers:

  • Cole Thoreson placed first in saddle bronc riding with 119 points.
  • Gus Thoreson placed second in saddle bronc riding with 116 points.
  • Justin Thomas placed second in bull riding with 81 points.
  • Loncey Johnson placed third in bull riding with 71 points.
  • Ashley Kroul placed tenth in goat tying with a combined time of 16.2.

The region standings have the women’s team holding in sixth place with 1,030 points and the men’s team holding in eighth place with 1,665 points.

The LCCC rodeo team will travel to Laramie, Wyo., April 27-29 for the University of Wyoming Rodeo. Rodeo results can be found at collegerodeo.com.
