The Laramie County Community College men’s soccer team
defeated conference opponent Northwest College 4-0 on Friday.
LCCC controlled possession from the start of the game. In the 20th minute, LCCC’s Dustin Hegstrom dribbled the ball passed the Trappers defense and was fouled in the penalty box. He was awarded a penalty kick that Casey Allen converted on. Cord Stimpson scored the second goal in the 30th minute, which put the halftime score at 2-0.
In the second half, the Golden Eagles’ Marconi Neto found the net in the 55th minute, assisted by Guilherme Andrade. Stimpson scored the final goal of the match in the 83rd minute, assisted by Alex Wixom.
In the first meeting between these teams on Sept. 2 in Powell, Wyo., the Golden Eagles and the Trappers tied 2-2.Box Score

The men’s soccer team (10-6-2 overall, 4-2-2 Region IX) will travel to Scottsbluff, Neb., for the first game in the Region IX tournament against Northwest College (7-4-2 overall, 3-3-2 in Region IX) at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 22.
