Windsmith Club hosts car show and open house

Thursday, September 30, 2010
Check out some great cars and tour the Wind Energy and Integrated Systems Technology labs.

The Windsmith Club at Laramie County Community College would like to show off the Wind Energy Lab, as well as some of the finest automobiles in the region.

The club is hosting an open house for the Wind Energy and Integrated Systems Technology programs from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 9 in the IST parking lot on the northeast corner of the LCCC campus.

The car show is the first in what the Windsmith Club hopes will be a bi-annual event. Admission is free, but bring quarters to cast your vote for the People’s Choice in three classes. Car owners will also be able to vote for the best car in each class in the Drivers’ Choice category.

Lunch will be available.

When you’re done checking out the cars, come in and get a good look at the Wind Energy Lab – a lab that’s setting the standard for wind energy education in the nation.
