Students participate in mass casualty incident

EMT program puts students to the test
The Laramie County Community College Albany County EMT class participated in a mass casualty incident on the Cheyenne campus on May 2.

The scenario was a school shooting with 21 patients involved. American Medical Response provided an ambulance so students could practice removing patients from the scene and transporting them to the hospital. EMT student Claire Buckingham was the incident commander and had to direct her fellow students during the incident.
