Kelsey Knust finishes second in Breakaway Roping

The Laramie County Community College rodeo team was in action last weekend in Fort Collins, Colo., for the Colorado State University Rodeo.
 
The women finished in seventh in the standings with a total of 105 points, while the men finished tied for eighth and recorded a total of 110 points. Kelsey Knust led the way for the women as she finished second in the breakaway roping with a combined time of 7.5 seconds on two runs. With a combined score of 129 on two rides, Chance Englebert led the men with a sixth-place finish in the bareback riding.
 
Top Performers:
  • Kelsey Knust finished second in the breakaway roping with a combined time of 7.5 seconds.
  • Jorry Lammers finished third in the barrel racing with a combined time of 30.77 seconds.
  • Chance Englebert finished sixth in the bareback riding with a combined score of 129.
  • Cash Merritt and Chris Beyer finished seventh in the team roping with a long-go time of 7.3 seconds.
  • Brandy Brown finished ninth in the breakaway roping with a long-go time of 3.5 seconds.
