The LCCC Speech and Debate team attended The Dahlin Invitational and the Griffin Invitational Nov. 21-22 at Grossmont College in El Cajon, Calif. The team did extremely well, with every member making a top 10 finish. The results follow:

Dahlin Invitational: 12 colleges and universities participating

In Dramatic Interpretation:
Conroy Stout placed 9th
Dominic Syracuse placed 10th

In Dramatic Duo Interpretation:
Mark Schaad and Dominic Syracuse placed 10th

In Novice Extemp:
Dominic Syracuse placed 1st
Kirsten Ryel placed 2nd
Mark Schaad placed 3rd
Conroy Stout placed 4th
Tom Spettigue placed 5th

Griffin Invitational: 25 colleges and universities participating

In Extemp:
Kirsten Ryel placed 8th
Tom Spettigue placed 10th

In Dramatic Interpretation:
Dominic Syracuse placed 4th
Conroy Stout placed 10th

In Parliamentary Debate:
The team of Kirsten Ryel and Harry Payne placed 10th in the junior division (students in their second year of competition)  and were named bronze medal winners.
