Students with Laramie County Community College’s surgical technology program
recently went to New Orleans for the Association of Surgical Technologist’s annual conference and student day.
Of the approximately 7,000 surgical technology students enrolled in more than 450 accredited programs nationwide, two of the 30 scholarships awarded by the Foundation for Surgical Technology went to LCCC students.
Jennifer Davis received a $750 award, and Anna Forister received an award for $1,000, which is the largest amount awarded by that foundation.
“I’m so proud of these exceptional students and I’m thrilled that the Foundation recognized their achievements,” Kathy Snyder, LCCC program director, said. “This will really help them with summer tuition expenses.”
