Golden Eagles suffer second consecutive loss

Men's basketball team loses to Northeastern Junior College.

The Golden Eagles men’s basketball team may have hit a mid-season slump as they lost their second consecutive game 73-83 to the Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen in Sterling, Colo., on Jan. 16. LCCC was outscored in the first half, 19-33. In the second half the Golden Eagles came within seven points but couldn’t gain the momentum needed for the lead.

The Golden Eagles (13-6 overall, 3-3 south sub region) will travel to Lamar, Colo., to take on the Lamar Community College Runnin’ Lopes (11-6 overall, 5-0 south sub region) at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 19.
