A total of 116
student-athletes were enrolled in the spring semester at Laramie County Community College, and their overall student-athlete GPA was 2.98.
The student-athletes obviously flexed their minds as well as their muscles, as 69 (59 percent) of them earned a 3.0 GPA or better, and 34 (29 percent) earned a 3.5 or better.
Even more impressive, 10 student-athletes earned a perfect 4.0 GPA. They are Franchelies Alvira Cruz and Emi Yamamoto from the women’s soccer team; Stefan Becker and Bruno Machado of the basketball team; men’s soccer team member Rafael Santos; volleyball players Mackenzie Foster, Kelsey Ross and Jemma Woods; and women’s rodeo team members Bailey Adair and Lacey Carroll.
Team GPAs were 2.71 for basketball, 2.64 for men’s soccer, 2.79 for men’s rodeo, 3.24 for women’s rodeo, 3.07 for women’s soccer, 3.42 for volleyball, 3.25 for the equestrian team and 2.88 for spirit squad.
