The Laramie County Community College
men’s basketball team won in its home season finale 104-87 over Trinidad State Junior College Tuesday at LCCC.
LCCC led the majority of the game and had a nice 53-40 lead at the half. Early in the second half, Trinidad was able to make a bit of a push and cut the lead to single digits, but wasn’t able to take the lead. It was a very physical game with a total of 46 fouls called. The Golden Eagles were able to turn that into points by sinking 33 of 37 free-throws, icing the game. This victory extends the Golden Eagles’ winning streak to eight.
The team finishes the regular season on the road with a pair of games this weekend. The guys face Northwest at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Powell and then head over to Sheridan for a battle with Sheridan college at 5 p.m. Saturday.
