Women's rodeo team finishes 7th in Sheridan

Men finish eighth.

The Laramie County Community College rodeo team competed in the Sheridan Rodeo on Sept. 28 and 29. This rodeo was supposed to start Friday but had to be shortened due to the large amount of rain that fell in Sheridan.

The women’s team recorded a total of 30 points in Sheridan and finished in seventh place out of 13 teams. The men totaled 140 points and finished in eighth out of 13 teams. Brandy Brown’s leading time in the long go allowed her pick up second overall in the breakaway roping.

Top Performers:
· Brandy Brown finished in second in breakaway roping with combined time of 9.0.
· Chance Englebert finished tied for third in bareback riding with a combined score of 140.
· Brandon Moen finished tied for sixth in bareback riding with a combined score of 132.
· Shana Lyons finished tied for sixth in goat tying with a combined time of 16.6.
· Dillon Simonson finished seventh in steer wrestling with a combined time of 22.8.
· Katelyn Ellis finished eighth in goat tying with a combined time of 17.9.
