The
Golden Eagles men’s basketball team lost 60-72 to the Casper College Thunderbirds on Nov. 29 in Casper, Wyo.
Turnovers cost the Eagles in this game. The Thunderbirds played a pressure defense and caused LCCC to commit 34 turnovers, which the Thunderbirds converted into 19 points. The Golden Eagles trailed at halftime 32-42. In the second half, the Golden Eagles made a charge, but continued to turn the ball over. LCCC’s Charles Cooks led all scorers with 16 points. Golden Eagle Germain Decoste posted a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.

The Golden Eagles (2-5) will travel to Scottsbluff, Neb., for the Western Nebraska Classic Dec. 2-3. On Dec. 2 LCCC will play 12th-ranked College of Southern Idaho (8-1) at 5:30 p.m. and then on Dec. 3 LCCC will play 19th-ranked Northwest College (9-0) at 5:30 p.m.
