The 17th-ranked Laramie County Community College's men’s soccer team
defeated the Western Wyoming Community College Mustangs 5-1 on Oct. 12 at LCCC.
Going with the wind in the first half, the Golden Eagles tried to take advantage and score some early goals. In the 13th minute, Jorge Arenas took a corner kick, and instead of playing the ball across the goal, he passed the ball to an unmarked Gleydson Neri, who fired a rocket off the near post for a goal. In the 42nd minute, Dewey Rodgers raced down the field with the ball and drew in the Mustangs defenders, which left Gleydson open for the final goal of the half. In the second half, the Mustangs had the wind to their advantage and scored a goal in the 61st minute. In the 75th minute, Alfonso Perea started the Golden Eagles scoring drive. Spencer Gray would score in the 78th minute as would Dino Soto in the 81st minute. Box Score
