Broken hand not keeping Justin Thomas down.

Laramie County Community College’s bull rider and lone representative at the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) is riding left handed after breaking his right hand a few weeks ago when a horse he was training kicked him. Justin Thomas still plans to give it his all and ride to the top.

The CNFR started Saturday in Casper and concludes on June 19. Out of 36 bull riders, only eight of them earned points on June 13. On Thomas’ first ride he was able to last five seconds before getting bucked off. In last year’s CNFR, Thomas scored points on two of his three rides and still managed to take third.

Thomas’ next ride will be Monday afternoon.
