Volleyball team battles for top spot in the region

Tuesday, October 12, 2010
Come support your seventh-ranked Golden Eagles.

Come support your seventh-ranked Laramie County Community College volleyball team tonight at 7 p.m. when they take on the Casper College Thunderbirds in the LCCC Gym. The Golden Eagles have played the Thunderbirds 13 times since 2006, and Casper has defeated LCCC 12 times. The Golden Eagles broke that losing streak earlier this season when LCCC won 3-0.

Free T-shirts will be given out Oct. 15 at the match against fourth-ranked Western Wyoming Community College. The game will start at 7 p.m. in the LCCC Gym. The first 50 students to arrive at the match will receive a free T-shirt courtesy of LCCC Athletics. Students will need to show their ID at the door to claim a shirt. Sizes and quantities are limited, so come early.
Also, raffle tickets will be sold at Friday's match for a pair of tickets to Saturday's Wyoming vs. Utah football game on Oct. 16. Prices are $1 each or six tickets for $5. The winner will be announced at Friday's match.
