On a bitterly cold night, the Laramie County Community College's men’s basketball team had to overcome equally frigid shooting to escape with a 59-55 victory over the Colorado Christian University JV team. LCCC shot only 34.8% from the field in the first half and trailed 26-28 at intermission.
Despite shooting only 33.3% in the second half, the Eagles led 45-34 with 10 minutes remaining in the game. From there the Cougars went on an 11-0 run to tie the score at 45. Davin Anderson connected on a 3-point field goal with 2:44 remaining to give LCCC a 53-51 lead. From there the Eagles made six of eight free throws to seal the victory. LCCC held CCU to only 29.2% field goal shooting in the second half.

The Golden Eagles return to action next weekend as they host Western Wyoming CC(6-2) and Central Wyoming College(6-3). LCCC will battle Western at 7:00 p.m. on Dec. 11 and face Central at 4:00 p.m. on Dec. 12.
