Ice and snow, take it slow. While many people around the community have heard this slogan, it doesn’t always get taken to heart.

Laramie County Community College’s student newspaper, Wingspan, has teamed up with the Wyoming Department of Transportation to spread free ice scrapers and winter driving information for a service learning project.

 

A table will be set up in the LCCC Student Lounge from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 15. Three different ice scrapers, ranging from a size that would fit into a common purse to a larger version with a snow brush, will be passed out at the table. People can also stop by the Wingspan newsroom, Fine Arts Room 155, to pick one or more up.

 

Not only does WYDOT encourage people to drive slowly in poor weather conditions, it also informs people how to be cautious around road workers.
