LCCC offers training in fields that are some of the most in need in our community and across the country.

Health care careers are in high demand, and that trend is expected to continue for years to come. Because of that, Laramie County Community College offers training in fields that are some of the most in need in our community and across the country.

Anyone interested in learning about these health care fields — from students to those looking to change careers — is invited to attend the Health Programs Information Session at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, in Health Sciences Building Room 309/311.

During the session, attendees can gain information about the various degree programs that LCCC offers in health care. The session will also provide an opportunity to explore health care careers and learn detailed information about each program.

Additionally, college representatives will provide general information about financial aid, admissions, and career services.
Programs represented at the event may include dental hygiene, diagnostic medical sonography, emergency medical services, exercise science, fire science, health information technology and management, nursing, physical therapist assistant, radiography and surgical technology.

With the ever-changing demographics of the country and sweeping legislation altering the health care landscape, these careers are more in demand than ever. In fact, U.S. News and World Report’s “Best Jobs of 2013” lists three of the top 15 “best jobs” as health care careers that are offered at LCCC.
