The Golden Eagles defeated the Hawks of Northeast (Neb.) Community College 85-79 in the opening round of the Region IX Tournament in Sheridan on Friday. LCCC takes the court again at 1 p.m. Sunday in the quarterfinals. The Golden Eagles will play the winner of the game between Central Wyoming College and Miles City (Mont.), Community College.
