Equine Science

Associate of Science

The Associate of Science degree in equine science is designed for those students who plan to transfer to a university or a four-year college to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in animal/equine science. Admission to the equine science program is competitive. Please contact the equine studies department or the Admissions Office for procedures and deadlines. Admission to LCCC does not assure admission to the equine science program; a supplemental program application is required.

The equine studies program provides students with hands-on experience in training and horse health care to produce graduates who are in high demand in the equine industry. Built on a strong foundation of training and expertise, the nationally recognized program continually adapts to incorporating the latest techniques and scientific advances to best prepare students for success.

Cost of Attendance

For general college expense, students can view LCCC’s tuition and fees Web page. Students in this program incur an addition $50 in course fees for EQST 1550.
