About the LCCC Nursing Program

This is a four-semester leveled program that includes a balance of general education and nursing courses that assist students in acquiring the knowledge and skills to function as beginning practitioners of nursing.

The program is approved by the Wyoming State Board of Nursing and accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. Students receive classroom instruction and coordinated clinical experience in the nursing care of patients in health care settings under the supervision and guidance of the nursing faculty.

The first level provides a foundation for progression in the field of nursing and prepares the student to either enter the second level of the nursing curriculum or take alternative course work that will provide a certificate and eligibility to write the qualifying examination for practical nurse licensure. Upon completion of the second level of nursing, the graduate earns an Associate of Applied Science degree and is eligible to write the qualifying examination for registered nurse licensure.

LCCC does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or handicap in admission or access to, or treatment or employment in, its educational programs or activities.
